Dr. Oetker the new owner of Regina and Royal brands

Droga Kolinska and international food group Dr. Oetker have agreed that as of 1 October 2008 the owner of the powdered product ranges sold under the Regina, Royal, Kremin, Sladki Prah and Citronka will be Dr. Oetker Slovenija. Dr. Oetker will take over all the brands and the corresponding assets. The product range did not employ any workers because the products were not produced at Droga Kolinska.

Olaf Cordts, the director of Dr. Oetker Slovenija, gave the following statement: "The tie-up of the Dr. Oetker brand, which guarantees high quality and innovation, with the traditional brands of Droga Kolinska, particularly Regina and Royal, guarantees the maximum satisfaction of consumers' wants. In this way we will also create a basis for further growth in the Slovenian retail sector."

Milena Štular, a member of the Droga Kolinska management board, added: "We at Droga Kolinska are satisfied because we have found a prestigious new owner for our two oldest brands. The new owner will rejuvenate them and guarantee their long-term growth."
